Just got home late. Hungry! Knew there was a bunch of brocoli rabe in the fridge. Knew there was a box of fusilli in the cabinet. Knew what I wanted.
Pot on the boil. Add the pasta. Cook 2/3 of the way. Add the broccoli rabe (cut into bite-sized pieces). In a small saute pan, olive oil, sliced garlic, red pepper flaes. When pasta/rappini done: drain (but save 1/2 cup pasta water). Mix with garlic/oil/pepper flakes. Add more oil, pasta water, salt, pepper, pepper flakes, cheese. Toss. EAT. Ahhh. Glad there was an open bottle of white wine in the fridge, too. All set!
